Josh Echols
Born July 6, 1976, Josh was raised in the small town of Crosby. His first musical influence was his father playing guitar and singing folksongs, which gave Josh an appriciation for music in his early childhood. He learned percussion in middle school, which led to being in a state-titled military marching band in high school. While in high school, he became good friends with a couple of fellow music lovers, learned to play bass guitar, and formed the band ARIA. He played several dozen venues over the next couple of years before splitting paths with the band. A job opportunity led Josh away from the music industry for over a decade, but his passion for music never died. During this hiatus, Josh's life changed permenantly when his daughter, Karma, was born in 2002; Josh has raised her with the love of music and at age 6, she asked for her own drum set. In 2010, Josh came to a crossroads in his career and chose to invest in his passion instead of his business, starting school at MediaTech. His studies included studio recording, live sound recording, live music mixing, studio mixing, and producing, although his focus is on sound engineering. His greatest passion is helping other people realize their passion.
