Dr. Josh Gibson has provided psychiatric care to clients in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2002. A private practitioner, Dr. Josh Gibson handles psychotherapy, medication management, and occupational services such as executive coaching and fitness examinations.
From 1998 to 2002, Dr. Gibson held a psychiatry residency at the University of California, San Francisco, where he now teaches as a clinical professor. In addition to serving as president of the Residents Association, he led many development activities at UCSF, including mentoring programs for interns, supervision training for residents, and a psychiatry didactic for medical students in their third year.
Dr. Josh Gibson holds a medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where he earned the prestigious Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for his clinical excellence and commitment to medical ideals of patient care. He also earned the Lifetime Contribution Award for his accomplishments in the area of medical student peer education. Before entering medical school, Dr. Gibson earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, where he won the Arthur Lynn Andrews Award for Fiction; today, he continues to enjoy writing and reading fiction as a hobby.
