Bryan-College Station, Texas
I joined the team at KBTX in 2008, directing the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts and producing commercials for KBTX's creative services department. Since then, I've had the opportunity to take on a number of interesting challenges at the station.
In 2012, I spearheaded the launch of CW8 Aggieland on KBTX’s 3.2 channel. Within a year, we grew the station's audience by over 200% and were nominated as an APEX Model Affiliate by The CW in 2013.
I also worked as the station's promotions director, bridging the gap between our news and sales products and implementing new techniques for promoting our newscasts and stories
Each day at KBTX offers new challenges to overcome and I always enjoy innovating ways to present the news to the Brazos Valley. The most satisfying part of my job, however, is when it allows me to give back to the community- whether working with local charities like Scotty’s House or Books and a Blanket, or in my current role as a chairman of the Brazos County Cattle Baron’s Ball, benefiting the American Cancer Society.
I'm is a proud Sam Houston State Bearkat and currently live in College Station, Texas with my wife Breanne. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, classic films and spending time with friends and family.
