Josh Gummett

Well, I've never been very good talking about myself but I'll do my best.

I was born in appolis valley of nova scotia, but I spent a few months in Nunavut in Iqualuit.

I am a fourth year university student at Dalhousie University, studying mathematics. I am aiming at going to medical school so I can help people. After I have my medical degree I will be getting my pilots licesne, as well doing some work with M.S.F. or (Doctors Without borders). Then I plan on applying to the CSA in hopes of joining the ranks of David Williams and Commander Chris Hadfield in becoming a Canadian astronaut.

I have a lot of fun hobbies and I enjoy doing a lot of random things. I really enjoy driving cars and I had the goal of being a Formula 1 driver for a long time before I realised how unlikely this would be.
I enjoy singing and have sung pretty much my entire life.
I have been doing origami since grade 12 and have progressed a lot.
I love snowboarding and go every winter.
I really enjoy traveling and I have been to europe as well as most parts of halifax.
I love reading and learning about things that can make me a better person.
I am very passionate about food, learning what is good for me and cooking new and fun recipes.
I have had some amazing jobs throughout my years. I worked at the Discovery centre, the Alexander Keiths Brewery tour, Relay books at the airport, I have done mathematics research at Dalhousie University, as well I have worked at inn on the lake as a steward.
I am the Shinerama director for the 2012 Dalhousie campaign, and am very passionate about helping people.

I guess the most important thing about me is that if you want to get to know me better the best thing you can is get to know me in person! I love making new friends.
