Josh Levinger

Josh Levinger started his career as an engineer, studying aeronautics and astronautics at MIT. After graduating and working at a defense contractor building military robots, he decided to switch courses and fight to make the world a better place.
He received a master’s degree from the MIT Media Lab in the Center for Civic Media, building technology to meet the information needs of local communities. His thesis project was a boycott toolkit, which enabled collaborative research for collective economic action.
He moved to sunny California to work at the Citizen Engagement Lab, an accelerator for online-organizing initiatives. There, he worked with an amazing set of organizations and campaigns to build and launch over twenty new websites over three years.
He is is currently looking for new opportunities in digital activism, startups and fun.
