An experienced animal trainer and wildlife consultant, Josh Ruffell most recently served as Assistant Curator at Australia Zoo, located in Queensland. With a lifelong interest in animals, Joshua Ruffell has had opportunities to work with a vast number of species worldwide. His career has taken him to such far-reaching places as Japan, Gabon, China, and Guatemala, among other countries.

After graduating the Exotic Animal Training and Management program at Moorpark College, Mr. Ruffell began working as a professional animal trainer and handler for a company that often sent him to work on-site in the entertainment industry. His professional experience includes being on location to handle the snakes and tarantulas in the movie Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and working with a large Albino Burmese python on the set of Desperate Housewives.

Josh Ruffell also spent four seasons working as the wildlife consultant on the television series Survivor. He traveled to Gabon, China, Guatemala, and Panama lending his knowledge of animal behavior and wildlife safety to all show personnel.

With an enthusiasm for the entertainment industry, Mr. Ruffell likes to travel to Las Vegas, where he enjoys Cirque du Soleil and the magic of David Copperfield, two of his favorite shows.
