"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we may be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure." 1 John 3:1-3

How awesome it is to hear these words and know them as truth! The past two summers I have worked with CrossRoads as a construction intern on their summer staff in Appalachia. I have learned a lot, and you would think the most I would learn about is the construction, but of course God has his funny ways of doing things, and I learn the most from the community.

Working for CrossRoads I will have the opportunity to hang out with the students in Eastern Kentucky. My prayer is that all of us will come to a closer understand of why our Loving Father has given us a gift, so bold, of his one and only Son that was beaten and torn apart for our sins, so that we may better know Him! It doesn't make sense, but then again what in this world does?

I ask you for help. I know God provides and could help any way he wanted. I also know that many people look for a way to serve, this is a way to serve. We are all part of one body, the body of Christ that was broken for our sins. We each play our part and without the other we would not be able to do his great work! I ask that in any way you can to help support the ministry. I will be needing to raise $2,100 per month. The financial support that you give is what helps pay my salary.

Please pray for the community of Maytown, KY and for the community of Paintsville, KY, another ministry partner that I will be working with. Also if you would like to send encouraging letters or messages, I am always welcoming them. I would definitely be willing to talk to anyone that has questions or that would like me to come and speak at their church.
