Father, Small Business Owner, and Consultant in Chicago
For more than 25 years, I’ve served with the Chicago Police Department, a career that’s taken me from the street level to leading specialized units tackling some of the most complex public safety challenges in one of the nation’s largest cities. Along the way, I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about rank or recognition, it’s about showing up with integrity, listening deeply, and creating space for people to do their best work.
That belief guides everything I do today. As a law enforcement leader in the country's second-largest police department, I focus on collaboration, innovative strategies, and supporting the individuals behind the badge. But my mission doesn’t stop at policing. Through my blog and podcast, The Badge Doesn’t Make You Bulletproof, I share honest conversations about mental health, trauma, and the human side of this profession, because the badge may be heavy, but none of us should carry it alone.
