Joshua Brown

Cape Town, South Africa.

Robert Frost, an American poet, once wrote, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

I am not Robert Frost. I do, however, admire this sentiment and wish not only to see it lived out in my own life, but in the lives of those around me.

When I'm not pretending to have read inspiring poetry, I like to write. I actually like to write a lot. And when I'm not writing I'm usually exploring the new and unexplored ins and outs of my adopted city, Cape Town.

Thankfully, I have the unique opportunity to use my love of adventure, writing and Cape Town to motivate those around me to chase the ideals expressed by Mr Frost: to take the road less travelled.

Out with the common and mainstream, and in with the different and new. This is the principle by which I try to live my days in this beautiful city; and since I'm a student at the University of Cape Town- I have the time.

This is, in a nutshell, who I am. I crave the different, seek the new, and long for the unpopular. To embrace my adventurous character and inspire both myself, and those around me, to take the road less travelled- and that will probably make all the difference.
