CISO, then CTO, now founder and CEO. I started Bastion Intelligence in 2023 to bring safe, effective AI to the healthcare industry I spent twenty years protecting. Thirteen of those years were at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where I led technology and security as CISO and later CTO.

Our flagship product, BastionGPT, is a HIPAA-compliant AI assistant built exclusively for healthcare, trusted by 10,000+ healthcare organizations across the US, Canada, and Australia. Bastion Intelligence also advises health systems and digital health companies on AI strategy, governance, and security. I co-authored ANSI/HSI 2800-2025, the standard for AI governance in healthcare operations.

When I'm not working, you'll find me on the pickleball court, racing FPV drones, or flying friends and family cross-country.
