Joshua Lehrer
Cleveland, OH
Hello! My name is Joshua (I go cordially by Josh). I enjoy reading, writing, watching films, learning new things, exercising, and following politics as well as the news.
In terms of professional aspirations, I have plenty. I hope to one day become a pediatrician. One of my key interests in healthcare besides pediatrics is public health and ethics in healthcare.
My keen interests in many components of healthcare derive from various influences. This includes a very inspirational pediatric neurosurgeon and author of the book, "Gifted Hands," Dr. Benjamin Carson, MD, who practices at Johns Hopkins Hospital. It also comes from being exposed to and involved in clinical practice at an early age. In the summer of 2011, I became certified by the State of New Jersey as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at the age of 17. I also had the wonderful opportunity to volunteer for, as indicated in my profile, my local ambulance corps from age 16 to 18.
