I'm director of the Nieman Journalism Lab at Harvard University. We try to help figure out the future of journalism. Before coming to Harvard, I was an investigative reporter, columnist, and occasional foreign correspondent for The Dallas Morning News. I used to keep a blog at crabwalk.com; maybe I will again some day.

I'm a Cajun from a small town in south Louisiana, and I'm generally friendly.
