Patanjali described the 8 limbs of yoga for us in his Yoga Sutras: Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi Our 200 hour course focuses on the first four limbs of yoga: Yamas, Niyamas, Pranayama and Asana. In our 300 hour course, we are diving a little deeper. We begin with expanding on the first four limbs and then we learn about the final four limbs: Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. We end with some teaching methodology modules before culminating in the Seva Project.

Seva means service. The project is to teach a two-hour workshop on any yoga related topic. The Seva project involves researching, planning and implementing the workshop. If you’re able to teach your workshop to others and collect donations, you would choose a charity to donate the proceeds to. You can teach your project online or in person, there are really no restrictions on how you teach your workshop. If you’re unable to teach your workshop to others because of COVID, you can plan the workshop, practice teaching it and choose a charity that you would donate your proceeds to in the future.

We offer open enrollment, so you can move through most of the training at your own pace. Our zoom sessions are posted weekly and you can choose the one(s) that work best with your schedule.
