Joshua Paul
Chicago, IL
Joshua Paul started playing guitar as a teenager, having developed a passion for music at an early age. Playing at church, with family and with his friends, he learned to recognize music as a conduit for emotion and communication.
He received his first bass guitar as a gift in his mid-twenties, and immediately felt a bond with the instrument. Inspired by artists such as Paul McCartney, James Jamerson, Guy Pratt, Leland Sklar and others, Joshua plays with a melodic, rhythmic style that is both borrowed and distinctive.
Joshua Paul also works as a graphic designer for many of the projects he is involved in, and maintains a blog covering a variety of subjects including poetry, music, film, philosophy and religion.
