Joshua Salmons

My Navy family moved a lot as I grew up.

I attended a Bible college before helping start the film company that pioneered the Nooma® film series.

I then enlisted in the Army as a photojournalist.

I went to war.

I became one of the DoD's social media zealots, helping to form the All-Services Social Media Council, participating in task forces and developing the practices and guidelines for servicemembers to utilize social media. I spoke around the world, helping governments, agencies and corporations adapt to the changed communication paradigm.

I earned my MBA and, after the Army, went to sample life in corporate America at a large company, continuing to work in areas of social media, marketing, public relations and teaching.

I enjoy learning about technology, thinking about ways our gadgets and gizmos will affect how we live. I also have a penchant for sci-fi and the storytelling experience of modern video games.
