Joshua Stankard

A Rockland County, New York entrepreneur and web developer, Joshua “Josh” Stankard pursued an early career in construction and auto mechanics, working for seven years as an inspector and project manager with New York green energy company Quality Conservation Services while attending college. After teaching himself web coding and design, Joshua “Josh” Stankard created the website bluewhaleenergy.com to help others upgrade commercial properties to energy efficiency. Later, he developed statevitalrecords.com, which helps consumers access legal documents such as birth and death certificates online.

As a spinoff of State Vital Records, Mr. Stankard serves as CEO of Vibend, which is still in development and intends to help health departments simplify internal vital record processes to cut costs and improve performance. In 2019 he founded NotaryLive.com, which implements an innovative hybrid system to provide 24/7 remote online notary services to both signers and notaries.

A contributor to the National Association to Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS), and a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) and the National Notary Association (NNA), Mr. Stankard is committed to helping simplify online services. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports and music with family and friends. Additionally, he maintains a personal interest in politics and technology.
