Josiah Robinson

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

Born in Olney, North Philadelphia by my fathers hands in my parents bed, a fierce snow storm prevented a trip to the hospital or a visit from the midwife. I came into this world at a very cold time but in a very warm place. My early life on the block played out like a session at the U.N. i was privy to multiple cultures that i took for granted an accepted as the norm. I remember the warmth of love and family, community and culture. in the evening i could often smell the enticing aromas of over 15 different ethnic cuisines drifting through the city breeze. I took for granted the love of my neighbors, the many different styles of music, food, clothes, dance, and art that i was freely expose to. I look back on my early experiences with this world and my heart sings and then sinks. I realize that i was so very fortunate to be placed right there, right then. I want to continue my exposure to all cultures and the unique expressions of life that they hold. My main intrest at this point is cooking naturally with an ethnic fusion and sharing that with all. I want to travel and witness this beautiful dance between humanity and nature, and then share it with all who care.
