Joumana McGowan is a higher education professional based in California. Throughout her roles in community college leadership, McGowan has established herself as a capable educator and executive leader in higher education spaces.

Diversely educated, Joumana McGowan is an accomplished academic and scholar. Prior to forming the foundation of her career as an educator and executive leader in higher education, McGowan pursued academic qualifications at MSA Community College, California State Polytechnic University (CSPU), Harvard University and the University of Southern California, Los Angeles (USCLA). The accomplished higher education professional has achieved mastery at all levels of executive leadership and business administration, at the academic and professional levels. McGowan maintains Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from MSA and California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. She also maintains her Doctor of Education (Ed.D), as well as a Certificate in Community College Leadership.

Outside of her professional career in higher education,Joumana McGowan is an active supporter of nonprofits and community initiatives. Committed to her community, she has volunteered at numerous events over the years. McGowan actively supports Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Acquired Brain Injury Walkathon.
