Jovy Escalante

Jovy had been in the medical transcription industry for seven years. He had been a medical transcription trainer, head trainer and for a short while an operations manager of a medical transcription company.

He also worked as a medical laboratory technician.

He is looking forward to starting a business.

He is also currently into stock market investing/trading. He started in March 2009, catching the bottom of the bear and the start of the bull market almost to the day. Prior to his first buy he was already reading about the stock market since 1998. Among books that prepared him start in the stock market are books by William O'Neill, Peter Lynch, Jim Cramer and Marty Zweig. Other books that added to his techniques were by Wyckof, Jesse Livermore, Ned Darvas, and some more.

His investing and trading style is what he calls defensive investing/trading, that is following the first rule of investment, which is not to lose money. Capital preservation or protection is his primary aim. He leans more to fundamental analysis but uses his own technical analysis of the price and volume, looking at the general market and specific stock actions.
