Joy Akatugba

Like most people I know I was born outside of the US in Warri, Delta State Nigeria and immigrated to the United States when I was 6. Unlike most people I know my parents decided to pick the most Southern part of the United States to call home, a place called Brownsville, Texas (for those who do not know where that is, its the southern tip of Texas - Mexican border) a place at the time composed of 97% Hispanic. I lived there till my sophomore year in high school and then moved to great city of Houston, Texas. From there I decided that I wanted to explore more of Texas and moved to Austin and San Antonio for college and then to graduation to Dallas Texas where I have been for 5 years. So in a nutshelll you could say I am a true Texas girl and have explored a great deal of such an amazing state.
