Joy Balmana is currently a first year Creative Communications student at Red River College. Joy graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba in April 2015. She's held positions as both Co-President and Events Coordinator for the SOFA SA (Students of Fine Arts Student Association.) From 2013 - 2015, Joy was the curator of the non-commercial gallery Starving Artists Student Gallery and has hosted a number of fundraising events, graduations and gallery shows.

On her days off, Joy enjoys gallery hopping, reading Murakami novels and eating either an experimental home cooked meal or KFC (Korean Fried Chicken). Her friends and partner are her biggest means of comfort and sanity. Though her future may be a mystery for now, Joy believes it will be full of travel, passion and great food.
