Joy Webb, community catalyst, believes a holistic people-powered, community-driven approach to philanthropy is what will ultimately drive sustainable change and community transformation.

As a seasoned marketer, Joy understands how to motivate movement and get people to take action. Honing her marketing expertise in her lauded career supporting Fortune 500 brands like Capital One and Delta Airlines, Joy leveraged creative design and psychographics to create business solutions for the companies she has supported.

Early on, Joy’s parents instilled in her a responsibility to give back. Although she has always been active in her community, nearly a decade ago, Joy decided to leave the corporate world and wholly focus on philanthropy.

Seamlessly translating her corporate skills to her passion for her community, Joy launched the Circle of Joy, a community giving circle focused on supporting nonprofits that support youth and education initiatives in Georgia. The giving circle has raised more than $100k for the programs it supports. Joy has also served the Community Investment Network (CIN) for over a decade and has filled multiple roles, including board member, secretary, Chairlady of Leadership Conference in 2014, and Co-Chair for the Atlanta CIN National Conference in 2016.

Currently, Joy works in active collaboration with numerous Atlanta civic-focused organizations. Serving on the Center of Civic Innovation Advisory Council-Inequality in Philanthropy, an executive advisor for Black Girls and Women Consortium, a founding member of The Counsel, Webb indeed stays busy.

Joy has been selected to the Leadership DeKalb Class of 2022 and works on several municipal initiatives. She is currently working on her Chatered Advisor in Philanthropy from The American College of Financial Services.

Joy is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a BS in Graphic Design. She went on to earn her MBA from the University of Phoenix. Joy is an active member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is also certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. As a native of Decatur, Georgia, Joy volunteers and serves as an active community advocate.
