Visual Interaction Designer in Linköping, Sweden
I describe myself as a "visual" interaction designer. I believe that how things look = work, since perception influences how they are used. For this reason I mainly work in hi-fidelity mockups using Illustrator, although I would love to have Sketch (and Macs) in our office! I'm also interested in UI animations - Keynote works surprisingly well (any other tips?).
I'm relatively "new" to interaction design, having worked as an engineer in Canada until 2009, before studying industrial design in Sweden, and then finding my way to interaction design. Some projects I've worked with previously at RISE Interactive Institute in Sweden: weather data visualizations, UI design for a national crisis contingency web platform (a conceptual prototype), participatory design research project for math learning.
I started at the IFS Linköping office in February 2017. I work in the Aurena framework team designing UI components, as well as providing design support for Application groups.
In my spare time, my boyfriend and I try to travel or get outdoors - hiking, mountain ski touring, winter camping and sailing. Working with digital products all week, I appreciate doing tactile stuff at home like cooking, sewing, brewing beer, making soap.
