I am in love with the world. When I see the sun rise, lighting the clouds on fire, my soul leaps! I could spend days running my fingers through the warm summer grass, years wandering in the woods hearing the bird song and tasting the electric-sweet berries, growing wild.

As I grow older I feel an urgency in these experiences, a tremendous need to absorb the moments fully. And so my aim with my work is to take hold of beloved nature and capture a glimmer of her heartbreaking beauty. I want to share this love with you.

The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance. -- Aristotle
