Joyce Kong
STEM Educator and Adjunct Professor
My interests are centered on empowering students to become independent learners and connecting required course content in meaningful ways for students through inquiry learning. I have taught STEM programs to students in Pre-K through 12 in New York City Public Schools since 2000. A strong believer in the value of place-based education experiences, I led my students to start Battery Urban Farm with The Battery Conservancy in 2010.
Pursuing a new opportunity to contribute my education leadership, curriculum design and horticulture experiences to foster community engagement in urban sustainability.
