Growing up in New England, PJ started singing and playing guitar in folk groups and cover bands in the early 70's. Since moving to California in 1979, her musical flexibility has enabled her to perform with a variety of bands in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Her far reaching vocals offer glimpses of her early musical influences. Taking cues from some of the greatest women of Folk (Joni), Blues (Bonnie), Rock (Janis), Jazz (Ella), and Soul (Aretha) , she has developed a style that ranges from singing sweet ballads to sultry soulful tunes to wailing bluesy numbers.
Her love of three part harmony has led her to be currently performing with two Sonoma County acoustic groups. D'Bunchovus, with New Riders Of The Purple Sage alumni Russ Gauthier and the all woman band Foxes In The Henhouse.
