Joyce Falco
Houston, Texas, United States
Hi! My name is Joyce. I was born in Rome, Italy and moved to East Texas in 2010.
What I love doing:
- Making the world a better place by teaching discipline (in body & mind) through Martial Arts to people of all ages, genders and sizes. I'm currently employed by Al Garza's Premier Martial Arts as a part time instructor. I garnered both the A.O.K. Rookie Of The Year and the A.O.K. Golden Greek Award in 2013.
- Connecting people and businesses through my skills in language translation. I speak four languages. My mother tongue is Italian and I offer language translation jobs from Italian to English/ English to Italian
- Helping people bring out the best in themselves by choosing the right outfit to wear. I moved to Milan, Italy's fashion capital, when I was 6 and grew up admiring the fascinating creations of renowned fashion designers. I have a keen eye on how to dress fashionably without spending a fortune.
Additional facts about me:I spent the earliest 13 months of my life under the loving care of Mother Teresa's sisters in Rome, Italy.
- Aside from Mother Teresa who fondly squeezed my fingers when I could barely utter a syllable, I was also kissed in the forehead by Pope John Paul II when I was 20 months old.
- My first taste of plane travel was on a 24-hour intercontinental flight all by myself. I was 4 years old. I have learned that flying alone as a minor entitles you to a queenly service. (The perks of being an underage!)
- I got my black belt in 2013 and currently training for my second degree which I hope to obtain by July this year, 2015.
- I have a daddy who is a 6th degree black belt.
- I have a mommy who can create fine, exquisite dishes using the simplest, unprocessed ingredients. Oh, she's brown belt in Taekwondo and likes to be called, "The Karate Choppin' Chef"
- I find no logic in people's attitude to wear pants with a huge crater on the knee section when they can easily put on short pants
- I do not have a boyfriend, Dad has a rule: get one on my 29th birthday, duh.
- So far I have lived in 3 countries and have traveled a tiny part of Europe.
- All my friends are older than me, 10, 20, even 30 years older, there's nothing wrong with that as I learn a lot from them, but I also crave to make friends with my age bracket, I turned 21 last September.
