Joy Paulinus

Joy Paulinus is a fashion designer, fashionpreneur, stylist, milliner,fabric merchant, 3D animator, currently living in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria.

She bags a B.A in History and International Studies from the University of Uyo, an online Marketing Strategy certificate from Google Digital Academy with a seven years experience in Fashion Design and Merchandise.

Joy is the creative director of MePaL, a home that caters for female corporate, casual, native and dinner wearables and head accessories

She is a major promoter of Africa Fabrics particularly Adire of the Yorubas, Kente of Ghana, Kintenge of South Africa and Vintage of the Europeans. She believes in the unification of different cultures of the world through the merging of fabrics.

Her brain child 'MePaL' is a fervid advocate for self love and comfort in fashion, she encourages women to express the love they have for themselves through their wearables, MePaL believes that "A woman is what she wears", she also encourages women to wear what gives them comfort and enables them appreciate themselves. She encourages women to appreciate the way they look, go for what suits them and center their whole attention on their most lovable body part when it comes to flaunting.

She organises fashion series on Wordpress that encourages self love, the Afric culture, comfort, History and peace. This series cut across street fashion, casual fashion and dinner wearables.

Joy is ardent about promoting self love, comfort and the appreciation of the different body sizes through fashion wearables, she is working towards reaching a level where MePaL rings a bell in fashion households.
