Joy Sewing is the Houston Chronicle’s fashion and beauty editor, and muses about style, celebrities and shopping. An award-winning journalist, Joy has worked for the Kansas City Star, the New York Post and has written for Money, People, Vibe, Shape, Town & Country and other magazines. She has interviewed hundreds of famous faces, from Oscar de la Renta to Houston’s own Beyoncé Knowles. Joy recently was featured on the international style blog, The Coveteur, and profiled on The Huffington Post. Joy has a personal style blog, Dress Like You Are in Love, and is working on a celebrity style book of the same name. A former competitive ice skater, Joy became the first African American professional ice skating coach in Houston, while still in college.
