Jean Philippe Giacomini, ("JP"), was born in France & later studied dressage with Master Nuno Oliveira in Portugal for a year. He worked as assistant trainer at the National Portuguese Stud of Alter Real (4 years) with Jose Athayde. In England, Giacomini produced international champions in 3 day eventing, dressage & show-jumping, including the Lusitano Novilheiro, who was a G P dressage horse and British Show-Jumping leading money earner in 1983.

JP coached international event & dressage riders from England, Canada, the USA, Ireland & Portugal, including.the 1983 European 3 Day Gold Medallist Rachel Bayliss who, achievec with Mystic Minstrel, the unique feat of competing internationally in dressage & eventing the same year. JP is widely considered an expert at training piaffe & passage & is noted for bringing long-lasting solutions to unsolved training or soundness issues.

JP is the inventor of a game changing training approach: Endotapping™ to modify behavior and locomotion. His educational site www.EquusAcademy.com is becoming a model in distance learning & a trove of video lessons. JP was selected to give a series of demos on classical dressage during the Kentucky WEG 2010 that were very popular.

JP Giacomini travels for clinics worldwide & teaches his long term students and trains the Iberian horses he breeds near Lexington, KY – USA to become serious dressage competitors .

Michel Henriquet, author of 8 books, trainer of many GP horses, wrote:

“After the ‘General Effects’ of La Gueriniere’s classical horsemanship in the 18th cent. and Baucher’s ’Partial Effects’ in the 19th cent. that Nuno Oliveira has managed to harmonize with such elegance in recent times, we are accessing the ‘Local Effects’ of JP’s Giacomini’s Endotapping. This remarkable method helps us further facilitate training for the benefit of both horse and rider. JP’s masterful work constitutes, without a doubt, an innovative approach to dressage. If the 3 geniuses of horsemanship’s who preceded JP were still alive today, they would have appreciated this important evolution of our Art.’’
