José Pais

José Pais, was born in Lagos (PT), photography caugth his eye for cinema, he wanted to capture and reproduce moments, fellings, colours, sensations, sounds, movement, magic and wonder, but above all to reach people.

His interest for radio, music, writing and cinema lead him towards a Mass Media/Journalism degree. The follwing years he signed a column in a newspaper and was the creator and host of several radioshows about music and cinema.

But his passion for cinema took him to Lisbon where he decided to make films. Finished the Directing Course at Restart - Creativity and New Technologies School, Lisbon, in 2008 with "Insomnia, Love & Cigarretes" as his final project.

These days is attending a Photography Course at Cenjor, for him is like return home after a long absence.
