I am an integrative ecologist and currently a postdoctoral researcher at University of British Columbia, where I am continuing work on Neotropical birds. Previously, I conducted postdoctoral research on birds at Florida State University and on jumping spiders at University of California-Berkeley.

My current interest in how statistics are used in political and social debate began early when I served as a volunteer in the Georgia House of Representatives (and when I once served as photographer for Gov. Zell Miller of Georgia!).
