Jonathan Paylor

I'm a full-stack Web Developer with over 8 years' industry experience building websites and applications for SMEs, using a variety of technology involving both backend and frontend including PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Phalcon, Craft, ExpressionEngine and others.

I am responsible for the setup and day-to-day management of hosting environments and DNS with custom tuned setups involving software such as Nginx, Varnish, Memcache, Redis, load balancing & database replication.

While developing websites and applications, my role as lead developer at a UK digital agency also involves leading and training the development team, introducing new technology, workflows and procedures, overseeing and reviewing projects, writing proposals, specifications, organising and liasing with other departments.

I have a keen interest in online marketing and good working knowledge of search engine optimisation, keeping up with and advising on industry best practices and recommendations.
