Moving back to Holland in 2001 had important and unexpected consequences. The Dutch society had changed so much since 1974 that we could not cope with it despite all wordwide experience. My marriage broke up and I had to continue as a single father that lost everything except that what was most valuable to him, his children. They became the source of inspiration to take a closer look at the evolution of society and why the return to Holland had been so shocking? Clear understanding evolved including the reasons for recessions, depression and most of all: how to create a new step in our societal evolution. I defined Sustainocracy, a next step in our democracy, in which we add a layer of unquestionable sustainable human responsibility to our democratic processes. This is what I am now putting into practice in Eindhoven inviting government, scientific institutions and business enterprises to participate. It is the type of society that fits my ideals that I wish to pass on to my children.
