I am a married father of two.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of being a Secondary Mathematics and Physical Education teacher, District Math/Science Coordinator, Sessional Instructor in the UBC Faculty of Education, Faculty Advisor for the LTEP (Langley Teacher Education Program), Faculty Associate for UVic's Internship Program, Faculty Associate for SFU's PDP program and an Advisor for SFU's Graduate Diploma Program.

More recently, my career has turned toward formal school based educational leadership as first a Vice-Principal and subsequently the Principal of Aldergrove Community Secondary School. In January, 2017 I begin as the new Principal of Brookswood Secondary School and am looking forward to building relationships with students, staff and families of Brookswood.

Though I have had the pleasure of many memorable experiences professionally including serving as a member of the BC Association of Mathematics Teachers executive, 2002-2006, Chairing the 2004 BCAMT Annual Conference at Walnut Grove Secondary in Langley and as the Principal of Aldergrove Community Secondary School, my passion is working with teens as they grow and move along their pathway in life! It is rewarding to see students gain faith in themselves and learn the balance between Dreams. Beliefs and Achievement based on hard work!

I also enjoy challenges outside of the school community being the licensee and executive director of TEDxLangleyED at Chief Sepass Theatre at Langley Fine Arts School in beautiful Fort Langley, BC. It has been a thrill and a positive challenge working with great people on a great project that brings great ideas to many about the future of education!
