JR Abanilla

Hello everyone! I’m JR . I’m a student living in Manila, Philippines. I am a musician, entrepreneurship, and a certified coffee lover. I’m also interested in cycling. I'm currently studying at the UST Conservatory of Music focusing on Bachelors degree in Choral Conducting Performance. During my younger days, my father always brought me to our church to sing every saturday mass that experience had brought me to an unexpected path of career as a musician.

Growing in a province wherein music is not popular, I work hard to do my best to become one. It is really hard to pursue a career especially if no one supports you to become what you dream, but it doesn't mean that I should stop to continue on my path.

Learning from different experiences is my goal to achieve such musicality's in order to become one of the best that a person ca be, learning comes from your great desire to know new things that could help you in the future.

Joining on numerous rehearsals, attending in masterclasses & workshops, is my hobby as a musician, I believe that learning is not just about attending classes, it also extends towards many different activities, like here in music, you can also learn by performing many different pieces & genres, understanding the history of music, watching concerts, and many more.

As Jonas Salk said: “The reward for work well done is the opportunity to do more”, Always remember that whenever how many times you fall from the ground, always remember to stand up.
