Every day, Chap José works with creative and passionate emerging adults on the Andrews University campus as Assistant Vice President for Faith Engagement and the University Chaplain. He believes authentic leadership cultivates a community that thrives on values that amplify God’s design principles for humanity to flourish.

In addition to his work in higher education, he has worked as a pastor and specialist in increasing the engagement of Millennials and Gen Z. His team leadership approach is synergistic, cross-cultural, and inter-generational, reflecting design thinking principles.

He is an innovative and collaborative problem-solver who helps design strategies, adapt methodologies, and curate cultural practices for the holistic development of emerging adults and millennials in the workplace. He specializes in producing people-oriented outcomes, strengthening a sense of belonging, and sharpening the focus on the university’s mission.
