JR Entsminger II, Ed.D., is an accomplished education leader with over a decade of experience as an elementary school principal, earning an Exemplary summative designation for outstanding leadership and school performance. Holding a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Illinois University, JR is also the author ofResponsive Circles: A Guide to Resolving Student Conflict and Building School Community, published by Solution Tree Press.
In addition to school leadership, JR serves as a professional development provider in partnership with multiple Regional Offices of Education across Illinois, delivering impactful training for educators and school leaders. As the co-owner and consultant of School Success Partners, JR collaborates with schools and districts to foster positive school culture, implementing responsive circles and restorative practices, improve student learning outcomes, provide leadership coaching, and build responsive learning environments.
JR was also the co-founder and co-principal of a STEM Magnet Academy, where he planned and organized all curricular programming, including Project Lead the Way Engineering Courses, Computer Coding, Dual Credit Courses in Math and ELA with local high schools, Foreign Language, and Taekwondo.
