I've worked with most of Italy's largest and most famous companies such as Mondadori, Mediaset, Pirelli, Fiat and so on. I've sat in a Mediaset newsroom and watched from under a desk (not quite literally) as Emilio Fede, one of Italy's most famous and derided newsreaders, exploded and turned into a curious Hulk-like monstrosity.
I worked on a charity project for Blade Runner actor Rutger Hauer for several years, creating and running one of his websites...back in the days when creating websites looked like a good direction for a writer.
Since then I have worked as a journalist here in Italy, spent time out to ghost write two best sellers for an Italian celebrity, and more recently spent time with my family. I'm a single parent with two kids, one of which has flown off to a better life, moving to England.
At present I'm working on a series of Children's picture books with a truly brilliant illustrator, Paolo Mappelli. Look him up. He isn't responsible for the illustration on this page, by the way...that is the result of my doodling hand.
I have several other projects in development: two books focused on life in Italy.
The first explores the lives of five immigrants and their experiences here in Italy. Are Italians racist? Or do they welcome newcomers with open arms? I don't attempt to answer these questions directly, instead let each family tell their stories.
The second book delves into the lives of Italian natives, following them as they show us what they love about their country and at the same time 'letting' them reveal their attitudes and habits 'far' from the public eye.
I am at the early stages of developing a project for kids which is called quite simply 'Light'.
And there's an app! Everyone surely has to have one good idea for an app. I'm looking for someone with the skills necessary to realise an idea that will simply amaze. Maybe...
Oh, and I love playing with pastels...as you'll see if you wander over to my Instagrampage
