José Roberto Steiner
Physicist, researsher, and Data Scientist in Brasília, Brasil
FORMATION
Throughout my training as a physicist, which is a bachelor's degree, a master's degree and a doctorate, I have always worked with numerical simulations in several programming languages, so much that my first simulation, even in 2000, was using BASIC, for a Monte simulation Carlo of a magnetic system, still in the scientific initiation. Over the years the languages have changed, moving to FORTRAN, then to C / C ++ until you get to the parallelization tools.
I have extensive experience in the construction of numerical simulations, both using Monte Carlo methods and molecular dynamics.
I can easily solve complex problems even in tight deadlines.
RECENT RESEARCHES
I worked the last 4 years at Santa Cruz State University, where I developed a research project in Computational Physics and Statistics, using the hybrid cluster C.A.C.A.C.U., of the University itself.
In recent times I have been dedicated to the tools of Machine Learning, with the intention of conducting research in Social Physics and Epidemiological models.
SPECIALTIES
Numerical simulations in C / C ++, OpenMP, OpenCL, MPI and CUDA
Data analysis
Machine Learning using Python and R
