Joel Schalit is an Israeli-American journalist based in Berlin. Editor of The Battleground, he is the former news editor of Euractiv and managing editor of Tikkun. Schalit's books include Israel vs. Utopia, Jerusalem Calling, The Anti-Capitalism Reader (Akashic Books) and Collective Action (Pluto), with Megan Prelinger. He appears on Israel's I24News and China's CGTN.
