Data Analyst in Jacksonville, Florida

Hire me

I am a project manager currently living in Jacksonville, Florida. My interests range from technology to writing. I am also interested in politics and innovation.

I have a learning challenge and stutter but that makes up me and I am proud of it. I have found ways to overcome it and to work through my challenges in positive ways and for positive outcomes.

I have kept my persistence going and found a home in emergency management and disaster recovery. I am a self-taught data analysis and data collector I love to sit in front of a computer and collect resources, analyze data, learn how to do statistics analysis, and more. Also love validating, comparing data, and further learning the story from that data.

My Anthropology degree has allowed me to make stories of the data and make data come alive. Whether you are a leader or learning telling a story is a life skill. As Dr. Howard Gardner said, “Stories constitute the single most powerful weapon in a leader’s arsenal.”

I hope to one day combine all my loves of disaster recovery, data collection, and story telling to help further emergency management and ultimately help survivors of disasters and others prepare for and learn lessons for the next one.

I value my inquisitiveness, strong communication skills, my curiosity and my ability to be adaptable and be flexible in whatever life has to offer.

Competencies and Skills: QGIS, ArcGIS, Data Analysis, Planning, Evaluating Data, Qualitative Data and Quantitative Data, Validating and Collect Data for Accuracy, Excel, VISIO, PowerPoint, Word

"Adding an anthropologist to a research team is like moving from black-and-white TV to color," says Crain. "We're able to observe shades of color that others can't see. Anthropologists understand complexity and can help devise answers that reflect that complexity."
