I'm weird. I'm awkward. I love soft smiles, my dogs, and laughing at inappropriate times. I hate small talk and speaking in front of people. My middle school habits seem to have followed me into college, but they've slightly changed since those days. What's different about them, you ask? Well, now I embrace them and all of my awkwardness. Rather than making an awkward situation even more awkward, I laugh through it because laughter makes everything better, right? Maybe, maybe not, but I think it does. For example, since middle school I react differently when I trip which seems to happen a lot. I wouldn't call myself clumsy; my feet just apparently seem to have problems walking on flat surfaces. Middle school me would stress over all of the awkwardness of every single trip, but now I just laugh, throw up a soft smile, and move on with my life. I enjoy soft smiles; they are honestly one of my favorite things in the world besides my dogs of course. I use to take being called awkward as an insult, but now I agree and can reaffirm that I am indeed awkward. It may seem weird to some people, but I find my awkwardness quite hilarious.
