Joseph Sterling

Joseph Sterling is a professional photographer known for his portrait work with musicians, actors and comedians.

Born and raised in New York City, Joseph's interest in photography developed early during his childhood years studying album covers. "I would stare at every detail of albums such as The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper and Rubber Soul, and by the time I was nine I started using my father's camera taking pictures of everything I thought was interesting to a nine year old."

During his teenage years Joseph began shooting local bands and creating promotional images for them, which lead to photographing famous musicians and bands by the time he reached his early 20's such as Journey, John Waite and AC/DC, which also lead to photographing famous actors and comedians such as Johnny Depp, Don Rickles.

In the early 1990's Joseph moved to Nashville and became involved in the country music industry photographing popular country artists. During that time he also worked for the Gibson Guitar Corporation.

Over the past decade, Joseph has expanded his portfolio to include luxury lifestyle and modeling photography. In addition, he has a passion for event and equestrian photography,

After 30 years of capturing life’s images, he now own two successful photography businesses and takes great pride in continuing to create original images for celebrities, private clients and corporations.

At the present time Joseph is lead photographer for Rock Steady Imaging and is also independently working with television and film promoters shooting promo stills of cast, t.v. personalities, t.v. hosts and models.
