Joanna Sugarman

Fontaine-le-Dun

The author spends an awful lot of time devising craft, web-based and media projects that she hopes are off-beat. She is working on a new method of curating playlists. She likes well-written thrillers, old-school musicals and light comedy. She is good at finding ingenious solutions to practical problems and bad at anything involving knit-picking detail. Following a childhood in London, she has lived in France since 1967. After nearly 30 years in Paris and surroundings, in 1996 she moved with her family to the Pays de Caux in Upper Normandy. She has worked as a trainer and facilitator for a number of training organizations, teaching English to adults using drama-based techniques. Together with her husband David, she co-founded two training companies and the current translation company Nouvel Angle. Joanna retired in 2010 for personal reasons so is now learnng to knit, blog, bake and sew - skills she never peviously found necessary. She has one daughter who is based in Berlin.
