Hey there, I’m Jenna. I’m a fashion design student living in Hainesport, NJ. I am a fan of design, entrepreneurship, and DIY. I’m also interested in fashion and sewing. My design philosophy is a reflection of my diverse passions, rooted in a childhood filled with crafting, problem-solving, and a love for evening wear. From an early age, I immersed myself in various craft projects, eagerly exploring new techniques and materials to master. It was through these endeavors that I discovered the transformative power of sewing, a skill that opened doors to a world of creative expression.
My affinity for evening wear blossomed as I meticulously crafted my own prom dresses and delved into the intricacies of bridal attire while working at a bridal shop. The allure of chiffon and the artistry of embroidery became staples in my designs, infusing each piece with a touch of elegance and sophistication.
Simultaneously, my fascination with functional design and problem-solving took root, spurred by a need to innovate and create solutions. Whether it was crafting one-size-fits-most overalls for my university's makerspace or researching sports apparel, I found joy in tackling challenges head-on and devising elegant solutions.
Sustainability is a cornerstone of my design ethos, reflecting my reverence for the environment and dedication to ethical practices. I am deeply invested in sourcing eco-friendly materials and employing sustainable production methods, recognizing that fashion can be both chic and conscientious. By embracing sustainability, I aim to not only reduce the ecological footprint of my creations but also inspire a shift towards more responsible consumption in the industry.
Entrepreneurship is something that has always been with me, driving me to turn my passion into tangible ventures. From selling handmade crafts to pioneering a scrunchie monopoly in high school, I have embraced the entrepreneurial spirit wholeheartedly, seizing opportunities and forging my path in the world of design.
