For the last couple of years babysitting has been such a big part of my life and now after entering the newest chapter of my life, college. Babysitting has taught me more than just how to watch a child. It has taught me to be responsible, patient, and independent. When it comes to babysitting you never know what you are going to get. I have learned how to handle challenges, solve problems, and always create a safe and inviting environment.
Balancing work and school has been a little tricky for me at the beginning but as the year went on it taught me time-management skills. Trying to manage all my school work and tests but also being there for the family that is counting on me in the afternoons almost every day. Being able to have the opportunity to balance school and a work life is something I will never take for granted.
Working with all types have kids has made me improve my communication skills and has also taught me how to connect with people easier. As a student, I am always learning about different things on campus and off campus. I have been shaped by my experiences in the past year learning how to balance my new life.
