I manage LatAm operations for Althelia Climate Fund, a Luxembourg-based EUR135million investment fund dedicated to finance the transition to sustainable land use with small farmers in Latin America and Africa through REDD+ and Agroforestry Projects (coffee, cocoa, etc.)

Country focus: Guatemala, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru.

I have coordinated since February 2013 the International Carbon Finance/REED+ trade activities of AIDER, a leading Environmental & Development NGO, facilitating strategic partnerships and fundraising with Private Equity Funds, Carbon Funds, and Multinational corporations for the development of Agroforestry and REDD+ projects in Peruvian Amazon

I lived the last eight years in France and Austria, where I worked for environmental Investment Funds (Livelihoods Ventures Fund), Carbon Finance Brokers (Carbonium) and Sustainability Offices of Fortune 500 companies (Danone Corporate, Groupe Carrefour) coordinating partnerships with Latam associates in Agroforestry, Renewable Energy and Social Business - BOP

I am passionate about politics, social entrepreneurship, poverty reduction and inclusive development, I got a B.A with Honours in Social Sciences from the University of Bordeaux-II and a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development and CSR from Paris-Dauphine University

I am concerned about climate change and its impacts in poor people, specially in rural and arid places in sub-saharan Africa

I believe environmental protection is a solution and leverage for rural economic development and social inclusion

I am fluent in 4 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian) and love to learn Portuguese every time I can
