Juan Carlos Rosa Casasola
Artist, Designer, and Workshop facilitator in Berlin
Juan-Carlos Rosa-Casasola (Juancar/he/him) is a transdisciplinary artist from Benidorm (Spain), living in Berlin (Germany), passionate graphic designer, and committed workshop facilitator.
In his paintings, drawings, and installations he explores the boundaries between public and private, analog and digital, individual and collective. His recent projects address mindfulness and mental health, reflecting on how creativity, connection, and vulnerability can act as tools for healing and awareness.
Responding to the increasing sense of isolation and overstimulation in contemporary life, Juancar’s work invites viewers to slow down and reconnect through visual and emotional presence. Alongside his studio practice, he leads participatory workshops that merge movement, mindfulness, and drawing, extending his artistic exploration into collective, experiential spaces.
He holds a Fine Arts degree with honors from the Universitat Politècnica de València and later completed master's programs in Art Production, Multimedia Art, and Creative Design. His artistic practice explores the boundaries between public and private, analog and digital, individual and collective.
His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows at institutions such as the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània in Valencia, CCCB in Barcelona, and the Kulturforum Berlin. He has also participated in art fairs like Hybrid Art Fair (Madrid) and Festivals like 48 Stunden Neukölln (Berlin), and shown with galleries including U8HAUS (Berlin), Luis Adelantado (Valencia) and Espai Salmaia (Altea).
Since 2015, Juancar has also worked as a graphic designer in Berlin for cultural institutions like the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, the Schwules Museum, and the agency Runze & Casper Werbeagentur.
Currently, he offers creative drawing and painting workshops for beginners and intermediate in Berlin - at Modulor, Berlin Drawing Room, U8HAUS, Malsalon, Fincan and Eszenzia.
Since October 2025, Juancar voluntarily organises exhibitions for the non-profit organisation Fincan Kulturverein in Neukölln.
