Juan Gomez is the Global Vice President of Finance responsible for the Field Finance Value Management Office. He works within the office of the Field Finance CFO to help architect value for the Global Sales Organization and deliver forward-looking insights to the business to navigate the ever-changing landscape and disruptive forces. He serves as a member of the Finance Leadership team, and as such, participate in key decisions to direct the group’s strategic initiatives, operating models, and operational execution. Other duties are focused on maintain an understanding of advancements and innovations which are happening within the CFO organization and marketplace. Prior to this role, Juan served as Chief Controlling Officer for the SAP Americas region, where he was responsible for all Planning & Controlling activities and leader of a Global Strategic initiative to transform the Controlling Organization / Operating Model worldwide. Other roles in his SAP professional career are: Fellow at the Corporate Strategy Group, Financing Director for Latin America, CFO and Treasury Manager for Andean & Caribbean Region.Before joining SAP in 2005, Juan was Finance & Administration Director at Telefonica and Senior Financial Analyst at ColombiaMovil in Colombia. Simultaneously, for the last 14 years, he has also been a Finance Professor for graduate programs at various Colombian institutions including Universidad del Rosario, Universidad EAFIT, CESA and Universidad Externado. Besides his professional and academic career, Juan is also an entrepreneur, as he co-founded and is currently a shareholder of a number of establishments in the restaurants industry.
